What is the EKORA® Cath Lab Module?
The EKORA® Cath Lab module serves as the backbone for daily coronary angiography operations within a Cath Lab, meticulously documenting a wide array of tests and procedures.
Whether it’s diagnostic procedures, elective PCI, or emergency treatment, EKORA® records every critical detail – from the procedure itself, the attending clinicians, and the location, to vessel specifics, catheters and balloons employed, closure techniques, complications, additional support requirements, and precise timing. EKORA® simplifies this data recording process through an intuitive one-page system, automatically generating PDF reports that are sent out promptly and securely stored within the EKORA® patient record.
How does it differ from other solutions?
While most Cardiology departments will have some sort of system for recording Cath Lab procedures, EKORA® offers two unique advantages: an efficient single-page approach to reporting and the ability to track incoming ambulances. This integration enables Primary PCI ECGs transmitted by the Ambulance Service to be available in EKORA®, along with recording of SBAR discussions with the CCU gatekeeper as well as with real-time alerts promptly notifying clinicians of incoming primary PCI cases. This real-time capability empowers Cardiology teams to swiftly direct patients to the appropriate care, and with Ambulance tracking integrated into EKORA®, clinicians gain insights into the anticipated arrival time of patients, facilitating better management of lab resources and routine patient appointments.
